                                                                                                                                               CAREER FAIR

Vidya Mandir Estancia organised its first Career fair on 13th January 2024. The event began with a Prayer, followed by cultural programs. The Director of Vidya Mandir schools Mrs. Bhavani Raghunandan addressed the gathering by signifying the availability of multiple learning avenues and opportunities to the Transition careers. Our Director, Correspondent and Principal honoured the university Delegates with a memento, celebrating the mark of a wonderful collaboration. The fair served as a great platform to bridge the gap between aspiring students and the admissions to the university of their choice. Eminent universities such as Shiv Nadar, NIFT, Flames, Ashoka, Krea, SRMC and a few more participated in the fair and enlightened the students and parent community regarding the courses offered, campus life, scope of the stream, etc. Students from neighbouring schools - Sri Gokulam Public school and JRK global school also took part and benefitted from the fair. The fair was open to VME students from classes 9-12. The overwhelming responses from the students, parents and university Delegates made the event a grand success.


                                                PONGAL CELEBRATION

Pongal celebration in our school is a true manifestation of our rich culture and tradition. We at Vidya Mandir Estancia celebrated this harvest festival on 12th, January 2024. Pongal is celebrated as a thanksgiving festival to various Hindu deities. This festival is celebrated particularly by the farming community as it marks the end of the harvest season. All the students were dressed up in traditional attire to mark this occasion. Our Principal mam and Vice Principal mam enlightened the students by insisting the importance of celebrating this festival and that was followed by a silent prayer as a mark of thanks giving to nature. The cultural events like dance performed by our tiny tots and primary students, and an informative speech by a student of grade 5 added colour to the programme. The importance of such festivals in India demonstrates the country’s strong ties to culture, religion and humanity.

                                                                                                                                      MATHEMATICS DAY CELEBRATION

The VME Math Day 2023 exhibition unfolded as a captivating journey into the realms of mathematical wonder. With a myriad of exhibits, students showcased their prowess in various branches of mathematics, creating an immersive experience for attendees. From intricate geometry constructions to dynamic calculus demonstrations, each display elucidated the practicality and elegance inherent in mathematical concepts.

Students from classes 1 to 10 enthusiastically explained their projects, fostering a spirit of inquiry and collaborative learning. Math magazine created by higher secondary students was released by the Principal, Mrs. Sankari Ravi. The event wasn't just a showcase; it became a platform for intellectual exchange, as students engaged in discussions about the real life applications of math in various fields.

Overall the Math Day exhibition successfully celebrated the versatility and importance of mathematics. It not only heightened appreciation for the subject but also inspired future mathematicians, leaving an indelible mark on the school's commitment to nurturing a passion for learning and exploration.

                                                                                                                                      CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION

Christmas brings cheer and love and VME celebrated it with the same theme, spreading the message of love and joy among the children on 22nd Dec 2023, with great fun and frolic. The programme commenced with the address by the Principal mam. The whole school had a festive look and was beautifully decorated. The significance of this festival was narrated to the students followed by a short skit depicting the scenes of the nativity of Jesus Christ interspersed with melodious carols sung by the choir. Right from the conception of Mary to the birth of Jesus a harmonious story was displayed by the students. The students of KG also participated in the Jingle bells song dance. The dazzling entry of Santa Claus added to the joy and excitement of the students. The boundless joy of celebrating the festival was visible on the faces of all the children. It was a joyous and amusing programme for everyone.

                                                                                                                  LIBRARY WEEK  COMPETITION

“To learn to read is to light a fire: every syllable that is spelled out is a spark.”

   Vidya Mandir Estancia keeps the fire of reading burning amongst the students during the entire academic year. Every year some library week activities are conducted to enhance the reading skill of the students. Topics for the activities are announced 4 days prior in accordance to the class.

 The activities conducted were based on the topics like - “Creating stories based on the given picture and to highlight the moral value”, “Writing an article on a mix of two or more genres”, “Writing a letter to a favourite Author or Character”, “Visiting Malgudi”, “Reading”- in the digital era” and “India’s Moon Mission”. Winners were awarded prizes on Children’s day.

                                  CHILDREN'S DAY CELEBRATION

 Vidya mandir @ Estancia celebrated Children’s day on November 14th 2023 with great enthusiasm to commemorate the birth anniversary of our first Prime minister, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. On this special day, teachers put on an entertainment show to entertain and honor their beloved students.

 A bagless day was also organized on the same day in order to give a day-off from classroom learning and make students stress-free. A talent show was conducted for class 4 and 5 where the students explored their hidden talents.Fireless cooking, a crucial life skill, was for class 3. Students prepared yummy dishes and shared them with teachers and friends. Class 2 children enjoyed a nature walk while class 1 students learnt the process of planting a plant. A movie was also shown to children from class 1 to 5. 

In High school, the celebration started with the address by the principal enlightening the students about the theme for Children's day 2023-24 “Every child has every right”. It was followed by cultural performances by the teachers of high school. The vice principal of high school shared her experiences from her school days on evolution of technology and advised the children to be more adaptable to change. 

Students had a fun-filled day and it helped them embrace a mix of learning.

                                                                                                                                                            RECITATION COMPETITION

 To spread the fragrance of poetry among the students,Vidya Mandir Estancia organized Poetry recitation competition in all four languages (English, Tamil, Hindi and Sanskrit) for the students of classes KG to 10th. The English Elocution competition alone was conducted for students of classes 10 to12 . The events were held during the last week of October 2023. The winners were awarded with prizes on the significant day “Children’s Day” on 14th November 2023 by the supporting pillars of VME, the PTA members.




                                                                                                                                                            VME MUN 2023

Vidya Mandir Estancia’s 2nd Edition of Model United Nations, held on the 12th and 13th October 2023 was a remarkable display of diplomacy and collaboration,boasting 14 diverse committees and attracting over 500 students. The delegates embraced the roles of various countries and leaders, engaging in debates and negotiations that simulated real-world global issues. In all the committees, each delegate tackled complex challenges, showcasing their research and communication skills. This event not only fostered an understanding of International relations but also honed critical thinking and public speaking abilities. Shree Niketan Patasala and Vidya Mandir, Mylapore bagged the Best Delegations.


GOLU CELEBRATION

Golu Celebrations held at Vidya Mandir Estancia on 13/10/2023.The entire school contributed for the success of the event! Distributed Prasadam and Thaamboolam, Performed pooja and traditional songs were sung by KG students, who dressed traditionally, as well.


KG JUNGLE SAFARI

The aim of this jungle safari event was to help kindergartners learn about the animals and natural habitat. By taking them on a journey to the world of animals makes them excited. 

KG RAINBOW FEST

The ‘Rainbow Fest’ event was held to recognise the young talents and provide them a platform to nurture their skills and abilities. This event for the first time in Kindergarten was taken as an initiative to showcase the talents of our tiny tots.


PUPPET SHOW

KG GRANDPARENTS DAY

Grandparents day was held on August 24 th 2023. The event was a heartwarming gathering of grand parents and their grand children. Grandparents exhibited their talents by singing, dancing and telling stories in front of children. They engaged in palm print activities with their grand children . Refreshment was served and it was a great success. 


WORLD TOURISM DAY

 To commemorate the World Tourism day, students of Heritage and Tourism club performed a puppet show during the assembly on 27.9.2023. The most important tourist places of different states in India were chosen and their importance were explained using puppets. This show helped in creating an interest and awareness in children.

TEACHER'S DAY 

The students of Vidya Mandir Estancia celebrated teacher’s day on  5th September 2023.  The event began with a special assembly conducted by the student Council . The program included  dance performances, songs and poems to entertain the teachers. The teachers gave their blessings to the students.  The students of classes 11 and 12  made the day extra special by acting as student teachers for the whole day.   Students of class 12 took over classes 6 to 10 and acted as student teachers and the students of grade 11 managed the classes from kindergarten to class 5.  The whole day was organized in such a way to celebrate and cherish the hard work of  the teachers who serve as pillars of support.

INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY CELEBRATION

International Yoga Day was celebrated in VME school campus on 21st June 2023. Students and teachers performed various asanas while briefing the audience about its benefits.  In  commemoration of Yoga Day, competitions were conducted for the students of classes 6-8 such as Slogan writing, Drawing, and Essay writing.The winners were announced and appreciated. The Principal in her address, encouraged all VME students to practice five minutes of yoga every day and also demonstrated “Vajrasana” which will help them to focus on their academics.

ALUMNI INDUCTION

Alumni Induction for the students of batch 2022-2023 was held at Vidya Mandir Estancia on 10th June 2023 at 3.00pm. Students shared their wonderful and nostalgic memories and had a casual conversation with teachers and among their peers appreciating and cherishing their priceless moments spent in the school.

NATIONAL SCIENCE DAY

National science day was celebrated on 28th February 2023 which commemorates the invention of the ‘Raman effect’ by the great physicist, Sir C.V. Raman. The Students of VME participated in various activities like dressing up like a few scientists, performing a role play on healthy foods and Migration of Birds, Charts on facts about animals, scientists, saving water and working models by primary students. Classes 6, 7, and 8 also set up an exhibit displaying various scientific concepts through charts and models and Class 11 demonstrated experiments to motivate their juniors to enrich the subject and created the awareness about the importance of Science used in the daily life of people.

PONGAL CELEBRATION

தரணி கோர் திருவிழா தமிழர் பெருவிழா அதுவே பொங்கல் திருவிழா'

வித்யா மந்திர் எஸ்டான்சியா பள்ளியில் ஜனவரி  13-ஆம் தேதி  காலை முதலே களைகட்டியது. தமிழர் திருநாள் "பொங்கல்" விழாவைக் கொண்டாட வாசலில் வண்ணக் கோலமிட்டு வானவில்லாய்த் தயாரானது. விழா நிகழ்வைப்  பள்ளித்தலைமை ஆசிரியர் இனிதே  தொடங்கி வைத்தார். மழலையர் பட்டாளத்தின் நடனம் காண்போர் கண்ணைக் கவர்ந்தது. மேலும் மாணவச் செல்வங்கள்  நடனம் ஆடுதல், கவிதை கூறல் போன்ற கலை நிகழ்ச்சிகளையும் சிறப்பாக நடத்திக் காட்டினர்.   தமிழர் வீரக் கலையான சிலம்பாட்டம் அனைவரது உள்ளத்திலும் வீரத்தை விதைத்தது. அழகுக்கு அழகூட்ட  எலுமிச்சை ஸ்பூன், உரியடி ,வடை கவ்வுதல், போன்ற விளையாட்டுகளில் மாணவர்கள் சிறப்பாகப் பங்கேற்றனர்.  நடுநிலைப்பள்ளி மாணவ மாணவியர் கவிதைகூறல் மற்றும் கும்மி நடனமாடி பார்வையாளர்களை மகிழ்வின் உச்சிக்குக்கொண்டு சென்றனர். விழாவின் முக்கிய நிகழ்வான பொங்கல் வைத்தல் வெகு சிறப்பாக நடந்தேறியது. இரண்டு பானைகளில் பொங்கலிட்டு இனிதே பொங்கல் விழா கொண்டாடப்பட்டது. நாவுக்குப் பொங்கல் சுவை சேர்த்தது;  கலந்து கொண்டோர் இதயமும் இனிப்பான நினைவுகளால் நிரம்பியது; பொங்கல் நாள் விழா சிறப்பாக நடந்தேறியது.

Christmas  Celebration

We at Vidya Mandir@Estancia celebrated Christmas in the primary campus on the 23rd of December. All the students were very excited and full of zeal for the celebration. Students came vibrancy dressed to school for the theme. The ceremony began after the school assembly at 9:30AM. After that, various programs were organized one after the other.  One of the highlights was a performance of a group of class 4 and 5 students. They presented a beautiful play on the theme of Christmas followed by a rhythmic performance from the choir and an add-on KG dance performance with a surprise package by Santa Claus.The Celebrations came to end with these engaging activities and students took along the message of spreading love and peace.

Mathematics Day

National Mathematics Day was celebrated on December 22nd by proudly  releasing the maths magazine of the year 2022_2023 with great inspiration and motivation to commemorate the birth day of the great mathematician Mr. Srinivasa Ramanujan. Students contributed their colourful ideas like drawing the image of Srinivasa Ramanujan, Concentric circles with colourful rangoli and 3D models with immense enthusiasm.

Constitution Day

The Constitution day was commemorated on 26th November 2022. It was a matter of pride that 6th class students had taken the initiative of presenting the introductory speech and created awareness on the ideals of the Constitution and enlightening us on the topic. They further spoke on the history and significance of the Constitution.  Students had given the speech by emphasizing on the pillars of democracy and time period taken to draft the Constitution. Students encouraged and motivated all of us to abide by the Constitution . The objective was to reaffirm and uphold the ideology laid down in the Indian Constitution..  Class 6 students reiterated the values mentioned in the Constitution by reading out the Preamble. To add to the grandeur of the event students displayed charts with appropriate images of the Constitution as positive reinforcement. 

Library Week 2022-2023

On account of celebrating Library week, several activities were conducted in our school to enhance the reading and critical abilities of the students.  The Primary grade students were given activities such as colouring the book cover, word search, identifying the characters from the novel and weaving a story.  The Middle school students participated in book oriented activities i.e., completing a story and critically analyzing the characters. The Secondary school students were asked to ponder over their favourite characters in terms of designing costumes, reasons to keep them as a preference etc .  The Senior Secondary students were given challenging activities to interview their favourite characters and talk about a movie adapted from a novel. These activities were conducted to let the students understand the importance of books and library in their day to day life.

Recitation and Elocution Competitions

Recitation and Elocution activities help students to build confidence as they learn to speak more accurately and persuasively about any piece of writing. Keeping this in mind, a Recitation Competition was organised for our students to exhibit their artistic skills.

VME MUN

The first edition of VME MUN was conducted on 20 October 2022 and 21 October 2022. Students of numerous schools partook in the  event with great vigour. On the first day, Mr.S Arunachalam, who served as an advocate in Cuddalore,  and Mrs.Maya Sivaramakrishnan — the correspondent of VME — graced the opening ceremony with their presence besides Mrs.Sankari Ravi, the principal of VME and  Avinash, the secretary general of VME MUN. The dignitaries lit the sacred lamp, following which the blessings of the Almighty were invoked. Avinash then declared the conference open, and the delegates scurried to their committees enthusiastically. The committees present were: DISEC, UNHRC, IPC, UNSC, WHO, ECOFIN, UNEP and UNESCAP. Nearly 370 students took part in the MUN. The two days of VME MUN 2022 were characterized by intense debate and discourse on the issues prevalent in the society and the fulfilment of the tasks assigned. At the end of the first day's committee sessions, the participants rejoiced in the cultural event. After the successful completion of all the committee sessions, the participants gathered for the valedictory ceremony which was adorned by the presence of Dr.Bhavanishankar — the senior principal of Lalaji Memorial Omega International School, Mrs.Maya Sivaramakrishnan, Mrs.Sankari Ravi, Mrs.Meenakshi Janakiraman — the vice principal of high school, Mrs.Subhalakshmi — the vice principal of primary and Mrs. Vandana Rathore — the KG in-charge. The delegates who performed well were awarded accordingly. Eventually, Shree Niketan and MVM received the 1st prize and 2nd prize respectively in the 'best delegation' category. Avinash, finally, declared the conference closed, thereby bringing the MUN to a satisfactory end. Overall, the MUN was a huge success, which surely couldn't have been possible without the help and encouragement of the teacher coordinators, executive board members, members of The MUN Company and student volunteers.

International Literacy Day

International Literacy Day is celebrated on September 8 to highlight the significance of literacy and how it is a matter of dignity and human rights. Various events were conducted to familiarise students with the significance of education.

Diwali Celebration 2022 - 2023

South India celebrates Diwali as the day that Lord Krishna defeated the demon Narakasura. This religious festival signifies the victory of good over evil and the triumph of light over darkness. In our school, Diwali 2022 was celebrated on 21st October, Friday with great joy. Students from Primary school performed a great show by various cultural programmes like narrating stories  on Diwali.They sang a  Hindi song, an English song , a Tamil song and  presented a speech . The theme of 'Green Diwali ' was instilled in the young minds of children effectively by our beloved V.P.P .

நவராத்திரி விழா

நமது பாரம்பரிய விழாவான நவராத்திரியை இளைய தலைமுறையினருக்குக் கொண்டு சேர்க்கும் விதமாக வித்யா மந்திர் எஸ்டான்சியா பள்ளியில் நவராத்திரி விழா 22.9.22 வியாழக்கிழமை அன்று கோலாகலமாகக் கொண்டாடப்பட்டது. நிகழ்ச்சியின் துவக்கமாக இறை வணக்கப் பாடல் பாடப்பட்டது. தொடர்ந்து நவராத்திரி விழாவின் பெருமைகளையும் சிறப்புகளையும் மற்றும் நமது கலாச்சாரத்தையும் விளக்கும் விதமாக ஐந்தாம் வகுப்பு மாணவர்களின் பேச்சு அமைந்திருந்தது. விழாவிற்கு மேலும் மெருகூட்ட மாணவர்கள் லட்சுமி சரஸ்வதி துர்கை போன்ற வேடங்கள் அணிந்து வந்து அழகு சேர்த்தனர். மாணவர்கள் நம் கலாசாரத்தை விளக்கும் விதமாக செவிக்கு இனிமை தரும் பாடல்களையும் பாடி இந்த விழாவிற்குப் பெருமை சேர்த்தனர். நவராத்திரி விழாவின் முக்கிய நிகழ்வாக வந்திருந்த அனைவருக்கும் வெற்றிலை பாக்கு பழம் மஞ்சள் குங்குமம் நிரம்பிய தாம்பூலம் வழங்கப்பட்டு விழா இனிதே நிறைவேறியது.

Jungle Safari

Jungle safari was held on 5th September 2022. It gave the toddlers hands on learning and better understanding about wild animals and their natural habitat. Click here to  watch the video.

Grand Parents Day

Grandparents are someone with silver on their hair and gold in their hearts. We held Grandparents day on 30.08.2022 to celebrate the love between grandparents and grandchildren.

Reading Week

It is a pleasure to state that our school conducted several activities to mark this remarkable day of reading. DEAR was observed on the first of July. Students of classes three to twelve participated in the month of Reading with gusto . In a nutshell the objective was to stress on the importance of reading and to promote this healthy habit.

World Enterprise Day

Enterprising day was commemorated on 28th JUNE 2022. It was a matter of pride that two of our Senior Secondary students spoke extensively on the paramount significance of Entrepreneurship. In addition to this three other students of class XII highlighted the spectacular achievements of Indian entrepreneurs, and how they reached the ladder of success.

காமராசர் பிறந்த நாள் 

காமராசர் பிறந்தநாள் ஜூலை 15 ஆம் நாள் கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது.கல்வியின் வளர்ச்சிக்காக பல பணிகளை ஆற்றியுள்ளார் என்பதை நாம் நினைவு கொள்வோம். நம் பள்ளியில் முதல் வகுப்பு, இரண்டாம் வகுப்பு மாணவர்கள் காமராசர் போல் வேடம் அணிந்து அவர் ஆற்றிய பணிகளை பற்றிப் பேசினார்கள்.மற்றும் மூன்றாம் வகுப்பு, நான்காம் வகுப்பு, ஐந்தாம் வகுப்பு மாணவர்கள் அவர்களைப் பற்றிய சில வரிகள் பேசியும் பாடலாக பாடியும் அனைவரையும் மகிழ்வித்தார். 

World Environment Day

The world Environment day was celebrated with zest  on 7th June 2022 to raise Environmental awareness to take positive environmental action to  conserve  Nature and the planet Earth. Keeping this aim in view, the students of VME of  classes 3 to 12 passionately participated in the various activities such as poster making, role play, pledge and speech etc. The event was conducted successfully with  enthusiastic  participation and stepping into the threshold of   a greener world.

Earth Day

The Earth day celebration was celebrated on 22nd April 2022 to inspire awareness and appreciation for the Earth’s natural environment.A special assembly was marked and  Students of Classes 3 to 8 showcase their artistic and creative skills by displaying posters on “Save earth”. Role play depicted the dire need to protect the Earth and proved to be an eye-opener for the students and the educators. The students took a pledge to preserve and conserve their self-sustaining planet.The events of the week rekindled emotive concerns and instigated the youngsters to save, love and respect Mother Nature with all their heart and soul.Let's join hands together and save our Mother Earth.
